Greenhouse
Our Greenhouse is most certainly the pride of our stores. When it comes to the saying "Do what you love, and love what you do" we take it to heart and that is why we are the best in the business. Now days everyone expects a quality product at a competitive price, that's why we take it a step further by offering not only quality and price, but a very "Unique" selection of tropicals rarely found at our competitors. We also have the friendliest and most knowledgable staff around who are always on hand to load your purchases for you.
We are constantly researching new sources and products to keep our customers ahead of their neighbors. Our Greenhouse operates during three main seasons, first being Spring.
During our Spring season we focus heavily on bedding plants. For the head turning color in your front yard, hanging baskets to help add the touch of a paradise to your back patio, tropicals for that get away feeling of being on an oasis, and shrubs for building or adding to flowerbeds. Our Japanese Maples have become a staple item for our greenhouses, as we offer them in several sizes from the entry level 1 gallon to the massive 15 gallons. Also, we carry hundreds of Knock Out Roses, which are the "Best Bloom for the Buck" item we sell. They come in several colors with the newest offering of Sunny Yellow, which was an early season sell out last year. This coming spring we also plan to expand into "Specimen Plants" to make much larger plants available for landscaping.
During our Fall season you will find our greenhouses full of Fresh Cut Pumpkins, Live Mums, Golden Wheat Straw Bales, and much more. We open up our pumpkin patch around the second week of September and close it at the end of October. During this period we sell Scarecrows and Hay Bales along with Pumpkins for front porch decorations. This proves to be one of the most impressive displays for front yards. We also carry many annuals from Snapdragons to Pansies and many things in between.
During our Christmas season you will find our greenhouses full of Fresh Cut Fraser Fir Christmas Trees and live Poinsettias. We carry Christmas Trees in all sizes from 5' to 10' and in between. When you purchase a Christmas tree, you may also purchase the "Tree Stand" and find relief in knowing this will be the last stand you ever purchase from Ellis. Each year you simply bring back your old stand and we swap it out for a new stand on the tree of your choice. When it comes to live Poinsettias, we offer a large array of sizes and colors. You can pick from our 1 gallon Poinsettias or go with our "Specimen" 10" Poinsettias for the focal point in your living room. We also offer special pricing to all churches. Many of our Poinsettias are used to decorate sanctuaries at several local churches, which provides an impressive display of color for the Christmas Eve service.
